The Bible's Ten Commandments keep us on a secure path.

The Bible's Ten Commandments keep us on a secure path.

Navigating today isn’t easy despite many electronic gadgets. We can make good time yet never arrive at the right destination unless we know the true address.

Plugging in ten clear steps ensures we have good mileage. The Bible offers straightforward instructions how to travel in Exodus 20:

1 Honor only the One God.

2 Make no false images to worship.

3 Speak God’s Name with respect.

4 Keep a holy day to rest each week.

  5 Honor your parents.

  6 Do not murder.

  7 Do not commit adultery.

  8 Do not steal.

  9 Do not give lie.

10 Do not desire what belongs to your neighbor.

These ancient truths still guide us to a safe place. Following these keeps us in the proper lane where God can bless our travels.

Today’s Bible verse:

“Set up road signs; put up guideposts. Take note of the highway you take” (Jeremiah 31:21 NIV).
