Kindness Speaks
Flowers are eloquent, and say many things. “I am thinking of you.” “Have a beautiful day.” “You are special to me.” “Hope you feel better soon.” “Standing with you in this sad time.”
Without words, the blooms speak of affection and caring straight to the heart. Colorful arrangements gladden winter perspectives while we wait for summer to return. Kindness also warms our hearts.
Simple gestures of thoughtfulness bring a smile but don’t cost much. A phone call to say “hi.” A gentle hug. An unexpected invitation to have lunch together. These connections form a bouquet of belonging. Each person adds unique shape to a budding community.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience,” Colossians 3:12 NIV.
