Winter Park recently sponsored its 66th annual sidewalk art festival in Florida. Visitors viewed amazing creativity. Artists splashed color, light and motion throughout their displays.

One particularly fascinating booth featured the work of glass artist Mark Sudduth of Cleveland, Ohio. Sudduth travels the nation to exhibit his creations.

One vase stood about 18 inches tall, with beveled edges. Sunlight reflected in surprising ways. From one angle peering into the cutout center, a viewer saw a kaleidoscope of geometric shapes melding with the green landscape. But if the person circled around the piece, he saw a completely different image.

This got me thinking about life and faith. At each stage, we only understand a small sliver of what’s happening. With age, we get a broader view. Past events take on new meaning with fuller reflection, and we gain wisdom as more opportunities unfold.

Remain vigilant for unexpected surprises as God reveals His plan for you. He will guide you to truth.

Today’s Bible verse:

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:2-3 NIV).
