Fresh, tart blueberries with granola and cold milk make a delicious breakfast. For lunch, Greek salad. Dinner will be spinach pie that my friend Nour makes from scratch. So many blessings!
I want to remember how good God is to send the rain and nurture the land for abundant produce. These gifts can be overlooked with the convenience of grocery stores. I forget the labor and long hours involved for farmers to grow crops.
My dad raised citrus. As a child, I often got to ride with him to inspect groves. Months of care preceded the golden harvest of sweet oranges.
So does our Heavenly Father look after us. He arranges the seasons and warms seeds with sunlight. He only asks that we be careful to follow His laws.
I love this Bible passage:
“He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and olive oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.” (Deuteronomy 7:13)
God keeps His covenant of love with us. Look for His abundant blessings.
